“The first night we were in this motel we had the NOISIEST neighbors upstairs. I couldn't believe how loud they were just walking back and forth and up and down the stairs right outside our room. I called the front desk to see if we could get a different room on the second story and the next morning we were moved! Absolutely no issues after that. The staff were so friendly and the location was perfect. Definitely recommend!”

“The staff was very understanding when we had to leave a day early due to a medical emergency. Refunded our money. The chalet was clean and well maintained inside. Wood interior was beautiful. Roomy enough for two people. Only complaint was the very very very firm mattress and “flat” pillows. Hard to get comfortable. Close to ferries and downtown. Everything we needed was within walking distance.”

“From the outside it looks like a nice place, the room was clean but there were ants in the bathroom. There was a fridge in the closet but no microwave, the room was dark as there is only one lamp on the nite table. The room is sadly lacking ac outlets and no lamp near the table. We have never seen a coffee pot like the one there, when you pour the coffee it leaks out over everything, also there was only one pack of coffee, we had to go ask for more. “Not what pictures portray. Living in Michigan my entire life I think all of mackinaw city has depleted in cleanliness and price gauging. We booked a “superior room” which means nothing like the photos. We were told it’s just a standard queen with a water view balcony. The room was so dirty.. mold in the shower on the ceilings, stains on the sheets, filthy lampshades. The lady at the front desk was as nice as she could be and the manager moved us over one room.. slight cleanliness improvement as...

“The beach view was wonderful! Room was clean, beds were comfortable enough, and A/C worked well. A quite decent stay for those on a budget even with a few maintenance items that should be addressed. The door to the room had a considerable gap at the bottom allowing light and the elements in. Some mold and old caulk in the bathroom, as well as the hairdryer that shorted out mid-use.”

“My two favorite aspects about this motel were that it is still privately-owned while others in the area are not; and it is not a two-story structure. Unfortunately, some of our neighbors were loud which you can’t always combat. I loved the coupons the office provided at check-in. We used many of them! The motel is about three blocks from most attractions. All in all, a nice stay in Mackinaw City.”

“1st...just trying to get the door opened..they give you the code but don't tell you about the other buttons that need to be pushed/used...2nd...you had to body slam yourself to get the door open. The carpet and floor are so warped the door wouldn't open or close without a body slam..the door wouldn't lock . The 4 batteries in the door fell out when you either open or closed the door..3rd..it was very damp in the room..4th..no hot/cold symbols on the water handles..it took awhile to figure out...
